GIGAGLIDE application instructions
The application of GIGAGLIDE compared to wax is completely different because GIGAGLIDE is water-based and does not seal the surface.
While wax “seals” the base, GIGAGLIDE penetrates into the base, settles there and makes the base itself “faster”. Therefore, you will not notice that the ski becomes “saturated” or “fat”.
Instructions for use:
Please remove any remaining wax, brush it out or use ski wax remover.
IMPORTANT:
GIGAGLIDE does NOT work in conjunction with fluorine-treated ski bases.
Even if the fluorine application was some time ago!
For best effect:
- The ski should be dry before application
-
With 12 hours of exposure time, GIGAGLIDE lasts 5-10 days on the slopes (depending on snow and temperature)
-
With an exposure time of 5 minutes, GIGAGLIDE lasts on dry ski surfaces for at least 1 day on the slopes
-
- No need to peel off! -> the structure of the ski is preserved!
- Ideally, lightly polish with a cotton cloth (not a microfiber cloth!) after it has dried.
(not absolutely necessary, but it shortens the time until the
GIGAGLIDE gliding effect is activated)
Storage:
GIGAGLIDE is water-based and must not freeze, otherwise the mixture will be “broken” - never store below -6 degrees! (Freezing point = minus 6 degrees Cel)
