Good to know:

The application of GIGAGLIDE compared to wax is completely different because GIGAGLIDE is water-based and does not seal the surface.

While wax “seals” the base, GIGAGLIDE penetrates into the base, settles there and makes the base itself “faster”. Therefore, you will not notice that the ski becomes “saturated” or “fat”.

Application instructions:

The surface of your winter sports equipment should be wax-free, otherwise GIGAGLIDE cannot penetrate the surface.
Please remove any remaining wax, brush it out or use ski wax remover.

If the ski has been treated with fluoro wax in the past, professional deep cleaning is necessary!
GIGAGLIDE and fluorowax do not tolerate each other, even if the fluorowax was used some time ago!

For the best effect:

  1. The ski should be dry before application

    • With 12 hours of exposure time, GIGAGLIDE lasts 5-10 days on the slopes (depending on snow and temperature)

    • With an exposure time of 5 minutes, GIGAGLIDE lasts on dry ski surfaces for at least 1 day on the slopes

  2. No need to peel off! -> the structure of the ski is preserved!
  3. Ideally, lightly polish with a cotton cloth (not a microfiber cloth!) after it has dried.

(not absolutely necessary, but it shortens the time until the
    GIGAGLIDE glide effect activated)

Storage:

GIGAGLIDE is water-based and must not freeze, otherwise the mixture will be “broken” - never store below -6 degrees! (Freezing point = minus 6 degrees Cel)
